BioScientifica commissioned Rumba to research and design this book cover for a biography about Solly Zuckerman: scientist, anthropologist and ultimately, Scientific Advisor to successive post-war British Governments.
We did extensive picture research, before producing a book cover that reflected the many facets of this enigmatic character.

• Rumba promote Magical Ice

The Magical Ice Skating Company came to Rumba to handle all their publicity in the run-up to Christmas 2005. An outdoor ice rink was set up in the centre of Bristol and 50p of each ticket sale went to the Grand Appeal, the charity that fundraises for Bristol Children's Hospital.
Aardman animations allowed Magical Ice to use the Wallace & Gromit characters in their publicity, which gave the event added pizazz.
We designed everything, from a loyalty card to an 8m sq banner in the city centre.

This brochure for the South West TUC was a reference guide for Union Learning Reps whose job it is to find out the learning needs of union members and provide them with a learning plan.
It tied in with a Smart Card, which provided a hotline number for further help and advice and a series of posters to get workers to approach their Learning Rep.

• AHRB becomes AHRC

2005 saw AHRB achieve Research Council status and with it a need to produce a full annual report and a cut-down annual review.
Working to a challenging timescale and despite some last minute client amends, we produced the initial 92 page document in time to be presented to Parliament before the summer break.

• Rumba get the wind in their sails

Wind Prospect are one of the UK's leading wind energy companies, engineering, overseeing and advising on projects around the world.
Their previous literature lacked a cohesive look and had been produced in a variety of formats. We rationalised the material, researched new images and produced a striking folder and inserts in record time.
